Stolen from lots of people, most recently taraljc

If you were asked to pick one scene, one shot, one detail, one moment of some kind out of all the things I've made and say "This, this, for whatever reason, I remember, this is something that struck home with me, that I wanted to keep," what would it be?
Gaila kneeling by the shuttlecraft window, staring raptly at her new world.
There is so, so much I love about your fics, and about Every Good Villain in particular, but I think this line:

In this instance, the power belongs to her, and she will use it.

struck me the most, in part because 90% of people would, I think, consider themselves to be utterly powerless in the moment when Valeris sees herself as so powerful. It's a good reminder that history (and memory) is the story we tell ourselves, and how we "read" a situation can make a difference in how we perceive ourselves.

If that makes a lick of sense.
Sarek hiding his nakeness, wrapped in the sheets of Amanda's bed. Spock putting a pot under the roof leak in his studio apartment in San Francisco. Spock reminding Gaila that she failed his class, as she's using its lessons to persuade him that masturbation is logical. And oh, the scene between baby Spock and Amanda in "Not Her Body, But Her Life"--augh, it makes me cry! That whole story is so deft, I adore it.
